Growth almost doubled compared to last year. Fire Point revealed how many employees work at the company's 84 factories

Ukrainian defense-tech startup Fire Point, which specializes in the production of cruise missiles and long-range drones, has demonstrated rapid growth: the startup produces about 100 Flamingo long-range cruise missiles every month. Currently, production facilities are deployed at 83 factories in Ukraine and one enterprise in Denmark.
The company's executive director, Iryna Terek, spoke about the scaling up of production and current performance in a comment to The Guardian. According to her, the company is resuming large-scale production after a pause caused by the delay in signing a European loan agreement for Ukraine worth 90 billion euros.
The publication noted that Terek joined the team in the summer of 2023, when Fire Point had only 18 people working. At the end of last year, the number of employees reached 3,500, and now it is 6,000 specialists. The expansion of the team has allowed it to reach significant volumes: the startup produces about 100 long-range Flamingo cruise missiles every month.
"I am not aware of a single attack in the deep rear in the last few months that did not use our products," the company's CEO emphasized, adding that there are five to 15 strikes using their weapons every day.
The Flamingo cruise missile can carry a warhead weighing 1,150 kg, which is enough to penetrate concrete walls, and costs about $600,000 (for comparison, the American Tomahawk costs $3.5 million). In June, these missiles were used to strike a military components factory in Cheboksary, Russia. Due to the complexity of the trajectory, the actual flight range was about 1,800 km. At the same time, cheaper FP-1 drones (from $55,000 to $75,000) with a range of more than 1,600 km are used to attack Russian oil refineries, which has already led to a 20% drop in their gasoline production.
Commenting on the successes of Ukrainian developers, former US Army Commander in Europe Ben Hodges noted that Ukraine is now capable not only of overcoming Russian air defenses, but also of delivering a warhead sufficient to achieve a real effect.
For comparison, according to Ukrainian estimates, Russia produces up to 70 Kh-101 cruise missiles, 25 Calibers, and 60 Iskander-M ballistic missiles every month. Against this background, Iryna Terek emphasizes that after the war, the state must stop being exclusively a “breadbasket” and become an exporter of high-tech products, although now all Fire Point weapons go exclusively to the front.
Earlier, the head of deftech at Fire Point, Denis Shtilerman, said that after the attacks on Wildberries, the Ukrainian Defense Forces plan to completely paralyze the work of another Russian marketplace, Ozon.
“We are the only country in the world that practices ballistic interception every night.” Fire Point explained what is special about Ukrainian anti-ballistics FREYJA
“We save on everything that does not affect flight characteristics.” Fire Point CEO explained why “door hinges from Epicenter in the Flamingo design are a good solution”
