The state educational platform «Mriya» is preparing to test the national system of gamification of education, which will start this fall. The application will feature the internal currency «Mriya», daily quizzes and a special marketplace where students will be able to exchange accumulated bonuses for real gifts from partners.
This is stated in a statement from the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
The main goal of the initiative is to motivate students to study through modern interactive tools. Children will earn «Dreams» for correct answers in the daily «Smart» quizzes, completed homework, and overall success in their studies. The accumulated points can be exchanged for movie tickets, tickets for VR quests, book certificates, or additional classes with tutors.
In parallel with gamification, developers are preparing a deep integration of artificial intelligence to build personalized educational trajectories. The system will analyze the interests and strengths of the student, based on which it will recommend appropriate extracurricular clubs or courses and create an individual development graph .
In addition, the team is already piloting AI tools to optimize the work of educators. Among them are a test generator for teachers and a daily summary generator for kindergartens, which is currently being tested in 40 kindergartens in six regions of Ukraine. In the future, the platform should accompany users from kindergarten to university and the stage of professional development.
Three years after its launch, the Mriya ecosystem unites 4,300 educational institutions — that’s every third school in Ukraine — and over 640,000 users, including students, parents, and teachers. The project is being implemented by the Ministry of Digital Affairs and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine with the support of the Swiss-Ukrainian EGAP program. Last year, the project attracted $1.5 million in grant aid from Google to accelerate the development of innovative artificial intelligence tools.
