Ukrainian tactical communications manufacturer Himera Radios has introduced a major update for its radios. Version 2.0 includes new capabilities for field coordination, updated software, and even a proprietary application in Ukrainian.
As reported on the official Himera Radios Facebook page, the company has released update 2.0 for its tactical radios. One of the key results of the update is the ability to stably maintain communications at the battalion-brigade level, which is especially important for effective command of units at the front.
Among the improvements:
increased communication range;
clearer and purer voice reproduction;
background noise reduction;
improved voice communication screen, which has become more informative for soldiers in the field;
support for an autonomous repeater with the ability to remotely control and update.
The company also introduced a proprietary application for managing radio stations and repeaters, which received an updated interface, additional functionality, and support for the Ukrainian language. The application is focused on the convenience of soldiers and technical personnel.
The Himera team invites everyone who wants to test the update first. To upgrade to the new version, you can contact the company via Signal at the number provided in the post.
A little more about Himera Radios
This is a Ukrainian project that creates secure means of communication for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the developers have been constantly improving their equipment, focusing on combat experience. Their radio stations have already proven themselves as a reliable tool in front-line conditions. The launch of version 2.0 demonstrates not only technical progress, but also the ability to adapt to the needs of the army in real time.
We previously wrote about how the Ukrainian miltech startup Himera, which develops communication systems for the front, proposed a new solution to improve signal quality through the use of aerostat complexes.
