Gracie Chen, CEO of Bitget, named to CoinDesk's list of the top 50 women in Web3 and AI
Gracie Chen, CEO of leading cryptocurrency exchange and Web3 company Bitget, has been named to CoinDesk’s prestigious Top 50 Women in Web3 and AI 2025 list. The annual initiative recognizes influential women shaping the future of digital finance and technology. The list includes leaders in blockchain, cryptocurrency, and artificial intelligence who are driving innovation and inclusion in emerging technology sectors.
Gracie Chen, CEO of leading cryptocurrency exchange and Web3 company Bitget, has been named to CoinDesk’s prestigious Top 50 Women in Web3 and AI 2025 list. The annual initiative recognizes influential women shaping the future of digital finance and technology. The list includes leaders in blockchain, cryptocurrency, and artificial intelligence who are driving innovation and inclusion in emerging technology sectors.
Among the top ten participants, Chen found herself in the company of such notable figures as Daniela Amodei of Anthropic, Anima Anandkumar of Caltech, Tiana Baker-Taylor of Venice.ai, Regina Barzilai of MIT, Betsabe Botaitis of Hedera, Stephanie Cabossioras of Société Générale, Eowyn Chen of Trust Wallet, Samara Cohen of BlackRock, Emily Choi of Coinbase, and Delphine Form of Solidus Labs, as well as forty other outstanding women.
The list was compiled by CoinDesk in collaboration with a broad group of female leaders from organizations including Google, Spotify, and the Women in Crypto Association. The finalists were selected from over 300 nominations from around the world based on their innovation, impact, and relevance in shaping the future of Web3 and AI.
Gracie Chen is the only female CEO among the top 10 global crypto exchanges. Since her appointment in May 2024, she has driven Bitget’s rapid growth, growing from 20 million to over 120 million users worldwide, making Bitget a top three global exchange by trading volume.
Under her leadership, Bitget has significantly expanded its range of services: today the platform offers not only derivatives, but also spot trading, a powerful Launchpad and Launchpool ecosystem, AI-based copy trading, asset management tools and the popular non-custodial Bitget Wallet. Chen is also actively developing institutional partnerships and strengthening Bitget’s position in key markets.
In addition to product and business development, Chen is also committed to social responsibility. She leads the $10 million Blockchain4Her (B4H) initiative, which aims to advance gender equality in the blockchain industry. The program supports female developers, entrepreneurs, and creators through education, funding, mentorship, and access to the global Web3 ecosystem. As a delegate to the UN Women CSW conference, Chen also brings a critical Web3 perspective to global discussions on gender and technology.
