Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko announced that citizens over the age of 40 will receive money on the «Diya» card for undergoing a preventive medical examination.
40-year-old citizens of Ukraine will receive a corresponding notification in «Diya» with an invitation to undergo a «national check-up» and check their health status. This is reported by «Interfax-Ukraine».
«You will receive funds on a card created in „Diya“, you choose a healthcare institution where you can undergo the appropriate list of tests, doctor’s consultations, and laboratory and instrumental examinations,» Lyashko said.
The minister added that if health problems are found during the check-up, patients can receive an electronic prescription for free medicines. The start of the «national check-up» program is scheduled for January 1, 2026, and UAH 10 billion has been allocated for the project.
Viktor Lyashko previously said that the annual free check-up program for people over 40 will include screening for cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and mental disorders. These diseases are the leading cause of premature mortality and disability.
We will remind you that at the end of August, the Ministry of Digital Affairs launched a multi-account «Diya.Kartka» for government payments. It eliminates the need to open several cards to receive various types of financial assistance from the state.
