Elon Musk announced the launch of an early beta version of Wikipedia's competitor, Grokipedia, which is being developed by his company xAI.
According to Musk, Grokipedia will be up and running in two weeks.
"Early beta version 0.1 of Grokipedia will be released in 2 weeks," Elon Musk wrote on X.
xAI developers assure that Grokipedia will become "the world's largest and most accurate source of knowledge for humans and artificial intelligence without restrictions on use."
The emergence of Grokipedia became known in late September, but there was little information about the format and role of AI.
The team recently announced that Grok is currently spending huge amounts of computing resources analyzing sources such as Wikipedia pages and asking questions: what is true, partially true, false, or missing?
Grok then rewrites these pages, removing falsehoods, correcting half-truths, and adding important and missing context, the developers say.
"With Grok, Grokipedia aims to achieve maximum truth through first principles and physics. It replaces the partially hidden evidence of how traditional media works, rewriting it with full accurate context that cuts out nonsense," the post says .
