Thus, imports of drones showed a growth of 45%, to $1.7 billion, which, as the publication writes, «makes it the 5th largest import commodity group.»
Meanwhile, imports of spare parts for UAVs increased 3.5 times to $0.5 billion, and imports of radio equipment also increased 3.5 times to a similar amount of half a billion dollars.
However, radio transmitters, video or digital cameras became one of the top 5 categories in terms of import change.
The volume of these transactions amounted to $1.27 billion, and the growth was 2.8 times or $810 million.
Overall, Forbes states that Ukraine’s trade deficit in goods increased sharply to 21% of GDP in 2025. Exports decreased by 3% to $40.5 billion, while imports increased by 20% to $84.8 billion.
