The Ministry of Defense has codified and approved for use the Ukrainian armored recovery tractor INGUAR-4. The machine has a number of advantages over common tracked repair and recovery equipment. The first INGUAR-4s are already performing tasks in the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
The INGUAR-4 armored repair and evacuation vehicle (AREM) was developed at a Ukrainian enterprise, the Ministry of Defense reports . It is designed for the rapid evacuation of most special armored vehicles of Ukrainian and foreign production from the battlefield.
Unlike its predecessor INGUAR-3, the new model has a reinforced frame, an additional drive axle, a powerful winch, and a hydraulic system for lifting and evacuation.
INGUAR-4 has a number of advantages over tracked combat repair and recovery vehicles common in the Defense Forces:
higher speed of evacuation and movement on public roads;
greater range;
no need for a trawl for transportation;
lower operating costs;
easier and cheaper maintenance;
lower acoustic visibility;
higher survivability on the battlefield.
INGUAR-4 has passed the test, confirming its passport tactical and technical parameters and the ability to effectively evacuate armored vehicles in a difficult combat situation:
Inguar-3;
Roshel Senator;
Kirpi;
"Cossack";
"Innovator";
"Gyurza";
International MaxxPro;
other machines weighing up to 30 tons.
The INGUAR-4 armored vehicle with a 6×6 wheel formula is designed specifically to perform complex combat missions. Thanks to its unique design, powerful engine, and modern engineering solutions, the vehicle surpasses in speed and maneuverability such wheeled BREMs with an 8×8 formula as the domestic BREM-3BR and BREM-4M or the Canadian LAV Super Bison.
The vehicle's protection meets the STANAG 4569 Level 3 standard thanks to a combination of Armox steel and aluminum elements. The crew is protected by mine-resistant seats, automatic fire extinguishing, heated bulletproof glass and fire-resistant interior trim. At the same time, almost 60% of the INGUAR-4 chassis and suspension parts are manufactured in Ukraine.
