The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine has created an interactive map of favorable locations for electric vehicle charging stations. It was developed in the National Renewable Energy Action Plan for the period until 2030.
The Ministry of Energy noted that the map was created due to the growing number of electric vehicles in Ukraine and the need to develop charging infrastructure.
«The development of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles is one of the priority areas of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, primarily in the context of strengthening energy security and reducing dependence on imported energy carriers,» the ministry reported.
The map’s developers hope that it will help optimize the development of the electric charging infrastructure network, particularly on international highways where there are no charging stations on sections of 40 km or more.
The map was created in collaboration with distribution system operators and electromobility experts and has data on the most favorable locations, including available capacity, for the deployment of new electric charging complexes or the installation of new charging stations.
«This project contributes to the development of electromobility in Ukraine and integration with the European transport network,» the Ministry of Energy believes.
Recall that in September, the Ukrainian new car market showed a record result over the past 12 months. For the first time, fully electric models became the most popular in Ukraine.
