As El Pais reports, citing the Vice President of the Government and Minister for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenges, Sarah Aagesen, 100% of the transport network substations have also been restored, she added.
Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said he spent the entire night at the headquarters of the energy network operator Red Eléctrica.

According to the Portuguese network operator, the power outage was caused by a «rare atmospheric phenomenon.» European Council President António Costa said there were «no signs of a cyberattack» in the European blackout.
