It became known last month that Myronenko would leave his position at the State Special Communications Service and move to the Ministry of Digital Affairs.
«Today is my last day as Head of the State Special Communications Service. A year ago, I came from the battlefield to accept the position and successfully completed the tasks set by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief,» Yuriy Myronenko noted on his Facebook.
In his post, he also spoke about his achievements in this position, including the implementation of anti-corruption measures and over 1 million drones delivered to the Defense Forces.
Now, as Glavkom reports, the Cabinet of Ministers has officially appointed Myronenko as Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation.
What is known about Yuriy Myronenko?
Until 2019, Myronenko held managerial positions in structural divisions of Pravex-Bank, UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group, etc., Forbes reported. He also worked as the financial director of Concern Stirol, which is engaged in the production of fertilizers and nitrogen compounds. From 2010 to 2015, he worked as the general director of Diamond Sfir Group LLC, which was active in the fields of IT, logistics, construction, agriculture, etc.
Yuriy Myronenko signed a contract and joined the territorial defense in 2019. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he has fought as part of the 112th brigade of the Kyiv Regional Defense Organization. Before becoming the head of the State Special Communications Service in 2023, he was the commander of a UAV strike company operating in the Zaporizhia direction.
How he headed the State Special Communications Service
On November 20, NABU and SAPO informed the heads of the State Service for Special Communications of suspicion of embezzlement of state funds in the amount of over UAH 62 million. The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court took into custody the organizer of the scheme of embezzlement of state funds during the purchase of software by the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection (State Service for Special Communications).
Members of an organized group of 6 people, including the head of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine and his deputy, were suspected of committing crimes. They were suspected of overstating the cost of software purchases by UAH 285 million, while its real cost was UAH 223 million.
On the same day, November 20, the Cabinet of Ministers dismissed the head of the State Special Communications Service, Yuriy Shchygol. He and his deputy, Viktor Zhora, resigned a few hours before the indictment was handed down.
