The Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko, reported that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to automatically extend the validity of mobilization reservations, which were valid on December 19, for a month.
«Recent cyberattacks temporarily affected the operation of a number of state registers. Therefore, while the systems are being restored, the Government has extended the validity of the reservations», — Svyridenko wrote on her social networks.
On December 20, the Ministry of Justice announced a large-scale cyberattack by the Russian Federation on Ukrainian state registers, which took place on December 19. As a result, about 20 services became unavailable in «Diya», including booking.
According to Yulia Svyridenko, due to this cyberattack, it was decided to automatically extend reservations that were provided by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine or through the «Diya» portal. For this, there is no need to additionally contact the relevant authorities to issue new documents.
«If the employee’s reservation expired on December 20, 2024, it will be automatically extended until January 20, 2025. But no longer than February 28, 2025», — the Minister of Economy explained.
She added that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine must make the necessary changes to the Unified State Register of Conscripts, Military Conscripts, and Reservists within five days to synchronize the registry data with the approved changes.
Recall that earlier the Ministry of Justice estimated the term for restoring state registers at two weeks. As former Minister of Justice Denys Malyuska noted, Russian hackers used to focus on stealing information. However, now «their behavior has changed,» and now they not only steal data, but also destroy it.
Former Minister of Justice Malyuska on the consequences of the Russian cyberattack on state registers: «There is no serious problem in the Russians deleting registers.» Most of the information, according to him, was already freely available
