Kyiv Aviation Institute has announced a recruitment of Ukrainian applicants abroad for 3 specialties in Munich and 2 in Vilnius. The plans are to launch this format in Poland as well.
In Munich, KAI is expanding its range: to last year's specialty "Information Systems and Technologies" (F6), this year they are adding two more - "Design" (B2) and "Aviation and Rocket and Space Engineering" (G12). In technical areas, the university plans to launch dual education (combination of study and work) together with Ukrainian companies that have production facilities in Germany.
In Vilnius, this format is being launched for the first time as part of the "Lithuanian Project." There, applicants are offered two majors: "Computer Science" (F3) and "Logistics Management" (D3).
KAI President Ksenia Semenovasaidin a comment to DOU that the university is guided by two reasons. First, the institution seeks to maintain contact with Ukrainians who are currently abroad and do not intend to return in the near future. Second, there is an active request from Ukrainian businesses that are opening facilities in the EU. According to Semenova, such companies abroad often employ Ukrainians.
How to become a student
To enter, applicants need the results of the NMT or the final exam of the country where they completed secondary education.
The application process will start on July 1 with the registration of the applicant's electronic profile, and the applications themselves will be accepted from July 19 to 30. When choosing a competitive offer, it is important to indicate the program marked "Munich Project" or "Lithuanian Project".
Those who pass the selection will study full-time and will have full status as KAI students, and upon completion will receive a state diploma similar to the one issued in Ukraine.
Format and features of training
Studying abroad will follow the same programs as in Ukraine, but in a blended format. Students will not have to travel to sessions, as university teachers will come to Munich and Vilnius five times a year to conduct live intensives. The rest of the time, studies will be conducted online.
KAI plans to recruit groups of 20 people for each specialty, but in case of high demand, the university is ready to increase the number of places.
The university plans to scale this format to Poland, however, as Ksenia Semenova noted, the search for a reliable partner is still ongoing there.
