The Ukrainian company "First Universal Firm" (PUF) has launched a new high-speed anti-aircraft drone interceptor, Ban-One. The drone is designed to engage copter and aircraft-type UAVs, as well as Shahed-type strike drones at altitudes of several kilometers.

According to "Military", Ban-One is capable of attacking targets at an operating speed of 190–345 km/h (according to the manufacturer's website - 190–320 km/h), while its peak speed reaches from 350 to 370 km/h. To ensure stable operation at high loads, engineers moved the speed controller (ESC) to the outside, which improved cooling and prevented loss of speed during flight.

The drone has a modular body with a fiberglass frame. For its characteristic shape and yellow color, the drone received the working name "banana" within the company, from which the official name Ban-One was later formed. The design allows the device to be adapted for different types of missions. The interceptor operates on manual control and provides for the installation of various camera configurations:

  • analog day-dusk;

  • analog thermal (thermal imaging);

  • combined pair (day-twilight + thermal);

  • digital video system (daytime or thermal imaging).

It is also possible to adjust the position of the cameras from the remote control.

The analog video channel operates at frequencies of 4.9–7.2 GHz, 5.8 GHz and 6.7 GHz, and the digital one operates in the ranges of 5–6 GHz and 5.8 GHz. The drone control ranges are 500–1050 MHz or 1.9–2.6 GHz. In addition, replacing the lower part of the body allows you to install a warhead of different sizes. The maximum payload weight is up to 400 g.

Information about the cost of individual drone modifications and full-fledged complexes has appeared on the Brave1 Market platform:

  • Ban-One D (with analog daytime camera) — 38,000 UAH;

  • Ban-One DG (with digital daytime camera) — 47,170 UAH;

  • Ban-One T (with analog thermal imaging camera) — 57,300 UAH.

Full-fledged unmanned aerial systems (UAS), which include a ground control station, cost from UAH 2,089,500 for the Ban-One D version, UAH 2,548,160 for the Ban-One DG, and UAH 3,054,500 for the Ban-One T. All items are also available for purchase with "e-Points".

The delivery set includes one 8S3P battery with high current output and a ground control station (GCS) of PUF's own development. The station is universal and supports work with analog, digital and fiber-optic communication. The manufacturer also provided for the possibility of adapting Ban-One to ground control stations already used by military units.
