Mauris said that shipwright buildings have been added to the smuggler settlements in Trinidad, Tobago, and Grenada, where you can now repair and customize ships. In particular, Captain’s Stash has appeared on four islands — special houses with access to the player’s personal belongings.
A floating cargo has appeared on the global map, which can be picked up.
The developers have also added abandoned ships that can be captured without boarding. There’s also an event with rats on the ship — from time to time they spoil some of the cargo.
The authors of Corsairs Legacy announced that they have added 65 new animations for NPCs in settlements — now they move more naturally and interact with the environment more correctly.
The changes also affected the combat system. «The combat system has been significantly redesigned. Boardings have become faster, more dynamic, and more dangerous — both for enemies and for the player,» the developers noted.
As a reminder, Mauris released the first game in the Corsairs Legacy series on Steam Early Access. The game is still in Early Access and periodically receives major updates. The developers plan for a full release in late 2026.
