As Ukrainska Pravda reported on its Facebook page, the reason was a hacker hacking an account in an email newsletter service. The attackers used the editorial tool to spread the fake news.
The editorial office urges readers to follow safety rules: do not click on any links at the end of the letter and do not distribute its contents, so as not to contribute to the spread of disinformation.
Currently, the technical team is investigating all the circumstances of the incident, thoroughly checking the security of the services, and taking measures to strengthen protection.
"We sincerely apologize for any concern this situation may have caused. Your trust is most important to us, so we are doing everything we can to ensure this does not happen again," the editorial office noted.
