A new training course, «Cyber Hygiene 2.0,» has become available in the Army+ application for military personnel. It helps students learn how to work safely with gadgets and the Internet to reduce the risks of information leaks and cyberattacks.
The Ministry of Defense said that the course program covers 14 training series and explains how to safely use smartphones, computers, the Internet, social networks and messengers, work with passwords, Wi-Fi, flash drives and office systems.
It also discusses the methods used by hostile hackers: phishing, viruses, botnets, DDoS attacks. The course examines internal cyber incidents, as well as algorithms for actions in critical situations.
«The training is built on practical examples and real-life scenarios. After each module, intermediate tests are provided, and at the end of the course, there is a final exam and a certificate confirming the acquisition of knowledge and skills in cyber hygiene,» the Ministry of Defense notes.
The course is taught by officers of the Main Joint Center for Information Protection and Cybersecurity in Information and Telecommunications Systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is useful for military personnel who work with gadgets and information, from rank and file to unit commanders.
Currently, 19 training courses in tactics, battle planning, unmanned systems, communications, financial literacy, and other areas are available in «Army+.» More than 213,000 military personnel have completed training in the application.
Previously, «Army+» received an expanded functionality of «Army ID», which allows you to confirm the status of a serviceman via a secure QR code during checks, in particular at checkpoints.
A platform for training cybersecurity managers has been launched in Ukraine. About 900 specialists will complete the training in a year. Who can apply?
