Stinex company presented the "ZORKO" detector, which detects and intercepts video of FPV drones
The Ukrainian company Stinex has created a portable detector «ZORKO», which allows fighters to intercept the video signal of FPV drones and notice the threat earlier, increasing the chances of protecting positions, equipment, and personnel.
The Ukrainian company Stinex has created a portable detector «ZORKO», which allows fighters to intercept the video signal of FPV drones and notice the threat earlier, increasing the chances of protecting positions, equipment, and personnel.
The novelty is reported by the specialized publication «Military», which «ZORKO» saw at the Brave1 Components exhibition. The device is designed as an individual tool for the military, which allows you to quickly detect the operation of an enemy video transmitter and see the image from the drone in real time.
The detector constantly scans the air in the 1.2/3.3/5.8 GHz bands, where FPV video transmitters usually operate. This allows the operator to orient themselves from which direction the drone is approaching and assess what it is filming before it hits. The manufacturer emphasizes that «ZORKO» combines a wide detection range, high sensitivity and mobility.
The device has a battery life of 6-8 hours, which is enough for most combat shifts. The case has IP54 protection, so it can withstand dust and splashes, and the compact dimensions and attachment to a backpack, belt or car make the detector convenient for constant wear on the front line or while patrolling important objects.
The device is equipped with two screens of different sizes and adjustable sound alarms. The fighter can simultaneously monitor the signal level and the enemy FPV video, making faster decisions about taking cover, changing position, masking or destroying the drone.
The widespread use of FPV drones on the frontline is forcing Ukrainian units to look for new ways of radio reconnaissance and increasing situational awareness. Such individual detectors complement electronic warfare systems and become another element of the defense ecosystem being developed by Ukrainian defense tech companies together with the Brave1 cluster.
Previously, dev.ua wrote about how the Ukrainian military-tech company BlueBird Drones created the video signal detector «Chuyka 3.0», which is already in service with the Defense Forces.
