«I know who carried folders to various offices with statements that we are Poroshenko’s project. We didn’t give money to someone because we didn’t understand what for. Someone was offended. Someone had a drone project, and we threw them out of the market or procurement somewhere because our price is lower,» Babenko said in an interview with Liga.net.
According to Babenko, such rumors were spread specifically to arouse hostility towards Vyriy Industries among the authorities.
«For the current government, this is the opposition. Accordingly, it is necessary to show that a person earns a lot of money, and then this money will work for your political competitor,» he added.
The CEO of Vyriy Industries added that many people find it hard to believe that he built such a company without «influential patrons.»
«I’ve seen a lot of people who sincerely believed that we couldn’t be an independent project because they’re big businessmen who’ve been in business for 30 years. And here’s some dude who’s 27 and he’s doing better? That can’t be happening,» Babenko said.
