This was announced by the head of the Brave1 defense cluster, Andriy Hrytsenyuk, during the Brave1 Advantage event.
According to Hrytsenyuk, this direction corresponds to current global trends, as the humanoid robot industry is currently experiencing a rapid boom in the United States and China. However, the Ukrainian program will have an exclusively applied defense focus.
«Unlike the global civilian segment, the Ukrainian program is focused exclusively on defense needs and military application scenarios,» the head of Brave1 emphasized.
He added that domestic developers will initially focus on creating simpler platforms. Over time, these solutions will gradually receive more complex functionality. It is expected that new engineering developments will help Ukrainian defenders more effectively hold defensive positions and perform tasks directly in combat zones.
Earlier, the first Phantom MK-1 humanoid robots from the American company Foundation were brought to Ukraine. They were tested to understand how useful such machines can be for reconnaissance, logistics, and other tasks in combat conditions.
Brave 1 and the Ministry of Defense also announced new grant competitions for 2026, where participants can receive over UAH 100 million for breakthrough technologies. These include UAV-launched missiles, anti-CABs, humanoid robots, Ukrainian radars, air defense missiles, and microwave weapons.
