Russia has created FPV drones with a ring-shaped wing and a flight range of up to 50 km
The Russian Research and Production Center «Ushkuynyk» has developed the FPV drone «Prince Vladimir Svyatoslavovich» (KVS) with a claimed flight range of up to 50 km and an unusual design.
The Russian Research and Production Center «Ushkuynyk» has developed the FPV drone «Prince Vladimir Svyatoslavovich» (KVS) with a claimed flight range of up to 50 km and an unusual design.
«We set ourselves the goal of sending a standard drone with 10-inch engines and a payload, like the KVN [Prince Vandal Novgorodsky drone], to the appropriate distance — and we achieved it. Again, the KVN drone is not a wunderwaffle at a wunderprice», said Alexey Chadayev, head of Ushkuynyk.
According to him, the KVS was created as part of an ecosystem of fiber-optic drones, which includes Prince Vandal Novgorodsky and Prince Veshchiy Oleg.

«Remember, I showed you the mysterious drone, whose wing was in the shape of a ring? Then opinions were divided. I remember, even one of the specialists wrote then that the design was not effective. Now the enemy is launching it in FPV format into mass production,» — commented on the development of the Russians, advisor to the Minister of Defense and military expert Sergei «Flash» Beskrestnov.
He called Ushkuynyk a powerful company that «flooded» the front with Russian fiber-optic drones, so we can expect a massive appearance of KVS drones.

In addition to the UAV, Ushkuynik has also created a marine drone equipped with a coil of protected fiber-optic cable. It can carry FPV drones and attack Ukrainian naval drones as a kamikaze drone.
