A protective electronic warfare "dome" has been created over Kyiv against guided missile missiles - "Flash"

A large-scale electronic warfare (EW) system has been deployed over the capital to protect the city from Russian Shahed-type jet drones, which the enemy controls from a distance.
The successful conduct of the special operation was reported by Serhiy Beskrestnov, a non-staff advisor to the President of Ukraine on technological issues, to "Flash".
The expert noted that the confrontation between the countries encompasses not only the lines of combat clashes, but also the air defense of populated areas.
"It's no secret that in parallel with the war on the fronts, the so-called "city war" is currently underway. And in the "city war" there are also important special operations. These include the operation to protect the capital with electronic warfare from remotely controlled Shahed jets," said Serhiy Beskrestnov.
According to the expert, to search for targets and remotely control these UAVs directly from the territory of the Russian Federation, the enemy uses MES radio communication technology through installed radio modems. To prevent this communication and disrupt the coordination of enemy drones, a protective "dome" was created over Kyiv in a short time.
"The tasks were large-scale and ambitious - to carry out a large amount of work throughout the city in a few weeks. The operation turned out to be difficult not only technically, but also organizationally. Because we are talking about many hundreds of locations for antennas and equipment throughout the city," the presidential advisor emphasized.
All leading Ukrainian manufacturers of electronic warfare systems were involved in the implementation of the plan, who worked around the clock to manufacture and install the necessary equipment. The project was coordinated and supported by the General Staff, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Security and Defense Council, the Office of the President, and other units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the operation itself was under the constant control of the President of Ukraine.
As a result of the deployment of the "dome", the enemy lost the ability to freely use guided UAVs in the capital.
"This operation forced the enemy to pause, modernize the Shahed, and look for other solutions," concluded Flash.
