The Stop .ru extension, Google Search Highlighter , marks .ru domains and search results containing specific Russian Cyrillic letters (ы, э, ё) on Google search results pages.
Sverdluk shared the creation of the extension on Reddit. In the comments to the post, users confirmed that they had encountered a similar problem when searching for technical topics.
For example, a developer under the nickname black_ghost_off noted: "As a developer, I can say. I'm constantly looking for different components/chips and very often various Russian-language sites come up."
