Starting today, June 1, new limits for card-to-card transfers (p2p transfers) and account details (IBAN) come into effect.
The limit will be UAH 100,000 per month (previously UAH 150,000) in accordance with the Memorandum signed by the largest Ukrainian banks on December 10, 2024 — Oschadbank, OTP Bank, PrivatBank, Pravex Bank, FUIB, Raiffeisen Bank, Universal Bank.
Such restrictions apply only to transfers made by individuals to the accounts of other counterparties via bank cards or IBAN details, both within Ukraine and abroad.
At the same time, these limits do not apply to payments for goods and services, in particular, to payments for utilities or purchases in stores.
Also, the limits will not apply to transfers between accounts of the same client in the same bank or to transfers of clients with confirmed income exceeding the established limit amount (salary, pensions, social benefits, confirmed other income) or volunteers.
For them, the transfer limit will be set at the amount of confirmed income. For high-risk clients, it will remain at UAH 50,000 per month.
For transfers of larger amounts, you must provide the bank with documents confirming the source and amount of income:
"If there is documentary evidence of income, banks must cancel the limit or set it at an amount that corresponds to the financial capabilities of the relevant client, in particular through control of the amounts of receipts to accounts," notes BUKHGALTER.UA.
