On Saturday evening, July 11, US Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, one of the most influential lobbyists for Ukraine in Washington, died suddenly. Just a day before, the 71-year-old politician was on a visit to Kyiv, where he held meetings with the state leadership and visited the defense and technology site of the SkyFall company.
The politician’s death was announced by his office on social media, noting that the cause was a «short-term and sudden illness.» The details of the senator’s last public visit to Ukrainian defense production are provided by the press service of the SkyFall company.
During his stay at the enterprise, Lindsey Graham paid special attention to the P1-SUN unmanned interceptors of the «Shaheeds» and called on the United States to deepen technological integration with Ukraine. The development team presented the senator with a new modification of the P1-SUN Long, equipped with an on-board artificial intelligence module for autonomously capturing air targets in conditions of enemy electronic warfare. Graham also got acquainted with the Shrike line of FPV drones, the Vampire heavy hexacopters (known as «Baba Yaga») and the work of the SkyFall Academy, which trains operators.

The American politician highly appreciated the potential of the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex and called the possible US refusal to partner in the field of unmanned systems a mistake.
«I believe that it would be a huge mistake for America not to cooperate with Ukraine in the field of drones. They are ready to help us, because we were ready to support Ukraine in the most difficult times. Today I visited a state-of-the-art enterprise that has enormous capacity and produces technologies that are much more advanced than anyone else on the planet,» Lindsey Graham noted in one of his latest comments.
Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina has consistently championed Ukraine’s interests in the U.S. Congress. His position has combined demands for military reinforcement of the Ukrainian Armed Forces with a pragmatic approach to a long-term partnership based on joint defense development and U.S. access to critical Ukrainian resources.
