The Verkhovna Rada adopted draft law No. 13392, which, in particular, provides for localization in defense procurement for over UAH 1 million.
This was reported by People’s Deputy Halychyna Yanchenko. «From now on, if the state buys a product more expensive than UAH 1 million, it must be produced in Ukraine or contain a Ukrainian component: assembly, installation, or components,» the People’s Deputy noted.
According to her, the share of localization will increase gradually: to 25% in 2025, 30% in 2026, 35% in 2027, and up to 40% in 2032. This will contribute to the growth of orders for Ukrainian enterprises and jobs.
«This is not only about patriotism, but also about economic benefit. Up to 40% of the cost of Ukrainian goods is returned to the budget through taxes and works for the Armed Forces of Ukraine,» Yanchenko noted.
Recall that Ukraine is preparing controlled arms exports by the end of 2025 and export-import platforms in Europe, the United States, and the Middle East. The funds will be used to purchase and produce the most scarce systems, primarily air defense and ammunition.
