From rapid changes in search engine algorithms to growing client expectations and the struggle for talent — difficulties are an integral part of everyday work.

Today, the founder of LuxSite Digital Agency, Oleksandr Lyakhovets, talks about challenges, growth, and development.

How it all began

For me, working is not just about money. First and foremost, it’s about trust, which is the foundation of efficiency.

In our field, clear processes are not a luxury, but a necessity to achieve outstanding results and maintain customer trust. I am a versatile marketer with 22 years of experience. An ideological enthusiast of honest online marketing and generally transparent and mutually beneficial relationships. For me, working is not only about money. First of all, it is about trust, on the basis of which efficiency is formed.

I have worked with thousands of websites and hundreds of projects. This experience is the foundation that I pass on to my team. Many businesses have literally grown before my eyes. I have seen their formation, challenges and needs. Many started by coming in and saying: «We need a website», «We have a small store, so we can’t pay much» or «I have an idea». And after a few years they already had chains of stores or a large business.

After graduating from the Faculty of Computer Science in 2006, I had programming skills, so I started creating websites for friends. The challenge immediately arose — creating a website is not enough, you also need to attract visitors. Since then, I started to engage in traffic attraction. I began to understand not only organics, but also work with various tools. At one time, I worked with the whole range of tasks — from technical settings to communication strategies.

I started as an SEO specialist, promoting projects, gradually attracting other freelancers to join me. Later, the head of my institute changed. The new one was hostile to me, since I was already earning good money. He said: «You have started a ‘shack office’ here.» Get it over with.» So I left my scientific work and graduate school, giving myself a chance to do what I love — to be an entrepreneur and an Internet marketer.

Why is the agency named like that?

The LuxSite brand was born as an idea to create an honest marketing agency built on quality communication, clear processes and trust. I built a real system where each team has a leader with extensive experience. Where there is a director who cares about our service, as well as a manager responsible for internal processes so that everything works clearly and efficiently. This ensures maximum results for clients .

I chose the name by chance: I wanted it to include the word «site» because it would contribute to better promotion. It is included in many relevant queries: site promotion, site development, site advertising, etc. And «luxury» is what sets us apart on the market: quality is not in words, but in the details.

In 2019, LuxSite went through an important stage of growing up — we became LuxSite Digital Agency. This was not just a new signature under the logo, but a turn in our positioning. From an agency that focused mainly on websites, we confidently declared: we are about comprehensive Internet marketing. It was then that the rapid growth of our PPC and SMM departments began. They existed before, but it is from this moment that we have been actively promoting these areas as full-fledged and strategic services. And at the same time, we launched a rebranding that consolidated these changes at the visual level.

In 2024, we took another step forward and began to position ourselves as an innovative marketing agency. This is not just a loud name, it is a response to the challenges of the time. We are constantly updating tools, experimenting, implementing artificial intelligence and technologies that yesterday seemed like the distant future. We change along with the market — and sometimes a little faster than it.

Professionalism as a culture

I paid a lot of attention to corporate ethics, a healthy internal atmosphere, so that there was comfort not only in the team, but also in interaction. It is important to me that everyone feels effective, understands what they have to do and how they can influence the process.

Everyone can make recommendations, participate in finding effective solutions, and improve the service. This is also passed on to our customers: many of them have been with us for over 10 years.

Our projects are led by experienced managers who are trained and are also professional internet marketers themselves. Their experience is vast, and it is this that gives clients confidence: we will solve any challenges.

We not only offer services, but also have our own projects. This allows us to look at business from the client’s point of view, which is invaluable. We ourselves are going through a similar path.

By developing our own sites — blogs, product platforms, services with partners — we better understand the client’s situation.

Source of inspiration — customers

Clients often don’t understand marketing in general and digital marketing in particular. This is a rather complex topic, and we used to speak to them in technical language. But the market has changed — now you don’t just need to explain the tool, but convey the idea, the story. That’s why we study the client’s business from the inside and teach the team to think strategically .

It’s true that client success is inspiring. When we come up with a great case, it’s a testament to our belief in our principles, our team, and our expertise. And it’s also an opportunity to prove to potential clients that we can do it.

The LuxSite team consists of 36 employees, 2 freelancers on permanent contracts, and a dozen proven partners (copywriters, developers, designers, programmers).

We provide a full range of services: comprehensive digital strategies, all types of SEO, PPC, SMM and SERM. The structure includes:

  • SEO department (including GMB specialists and link builders);
  • PPC;
  • Social media;
  • customer service (product managers);
  • financial department;
  • HR generalist;
  • commercial and operations director

We have many plans and goals for the future. In particular:

  • develop your own brand;
  • strengthen marketing and sales;
  • systematize business processes;
  • build corporate culture;
  • scale in the Canadian and Australian markets;
  • grow in projects, team, services.

We are certainly proud of our achievements. However, the path to them was quite difficult. We had to overcome many obstacles and challenges in order to achieve such results.

In 2017, after losing our partner, we went solo. It was a difficult transition. We had to recruit new staff almost from scratch, change the office (back then everyone was working offline), and adapt to the new format.

To accelerate development, we invited a business consultant who promised to build an effective sales department for us. But that also ended in failure. After spending a lot of money, only one of the six hired employees remained working.

Then Covid came — and we switched to remote work. This was also a risk: less control — more anxiety. But the team did not let us down. On the contrary — it became even more united. And it was this unity that gave us the strength to withstand the biggest blow — the beginning of a full-scale invasion.

As in Covid, in 2022 the client flow faltered again. But we were already different. More careful. More humane. And we knew: if we got through that, we will get through this too.

Therefore, we tried to recover, supported our clients with favorable conditions, and they supported us.

Most recently, we had to go through another ordeal. In June 2025, after a massive missile strike on Ukraine, our Kyiv office was destroyed. We lost the space in which we had worked for years. But we did not lose the main thing — the team, support, and ability to act.

So we quickly took the documents and the surviving equipment to our friends — clients, who have become more than partners. And now we are looking for a new premises. But even this loss is not a tragedy, but another reminder. About how important it is to remain flexible. How much unity means. And how strong a team is when it believes in a common cause.

At LuxSite, we have never perceived work simply as a set of tasks. For us, it is a matter of life. It is a love for the process, for accuracy, for growth, even when it is difficult. It is respect for each client and each member of the team. Because the most important thing is people. It is with them that we go through challenges, rejoice in victories, and learn from mistakes. Sharing both victories and defeats with them is not a burden, but an honor.
