A Ukrainian developer has created a digital service book for cars and motorcycles. How does Maintra work?
It all started with an old Mitsubishi Pajero from a Ukrainian developer. Major repairs and replacements are usually etched in memory, but minor work, exact names and volumes of fluids, dates and mileage are quickly lost among paper receipts, chaotic notes on the phone, or simply fall out of your head. To solve this problem once and for all, the IT guy created Maintra — a service notebook for iOS and Android, which is always at hand and helps keep the entire vehicle maintenance history in perfect order.

The project has already gathered about 500 users, and the application is especially relevant for owners of classic and old cars, motorcyclists, as well as for those who maintain several cars at once, noted the developer under the nickname ROK on Reddit.
What can Maintra do?
Maintra combines classic logbook features with modern artificial intelligence technologies, making routine accounting fast and unobtrusive.
1. Intelligent data entry using AI
Just take a photo of a receipt from a service station or gas station (even a multi-page one and in any language) or simply describe the work performed in your own words. AI will automatically recognize the data and generate a neat record with prices for parts, work, and the total amount.
You can take a photo of your VIN or registration certificate to instantly fill in your vehicle details.
2. Service Planning and AI Assistant
The app builds a personalized maintenance plan based on mileage, history, and current faults. You always see which jobs are overdue, which are urgent, and which are just planned.
The built-in assistant knows the technical specifications of your car and can advise on symptoms of breakdowns, necessary spare parts, or what to check before a long trip.
3. Fuel, cost and location accounting
Maintaining detailed statistics on fuel consumption, cost per liter/gallon, total costs by category and month.
Support for different currencies.
Ability to save gas stations and service stations with your own ratings and notes without the need to enable geolocation.
4. Own spare parts warehouse
Ability to save future purchases and share the list.
Purchased parts can be marked as awaiting installation, and after installation, converted into a service record in one tap without double-counting costs.
The main functions work offline - data is first stored on the device and then synchronized.

Import of error logs from CSV, full backup in JSON, detailed CSV reports, as well as generation of a representative PDF service history along with photos of receipts (for example, for selling a car) are available.

The application can be downloaded and started using for free: basic functionality for one vehicle. For those who need more vehicles and advanced artificial intelligence capabilities, Pro and VIP plans are available.
