Ukraine launches energy independence map for buildings. It will show whether a building will have water, heat, and internet without electricity

An interactive "Energy Independence Map" has been launched in Ukraine, where you can check how prepared residential buildings are for power outages. The service allows you to find out whether the house will have water, heating, internet, and whether the elevator will work when the power goes out.
This was reported by the Ministry of Reconstruction, Infrastructure and Transport of Ukraine. The map was created jointly with the NGO "LUN Misto" with the participation of the public organizations "National Platform of Condominiums" and "Ecodia". The map is available at the link. However, so far, information is available only for Kyiv and the Kyiv region.
You can find a house on the map and see what backup power sources it has installed: generators, inverters, battery systems, or solar panels.
The service also shows the level of energy independence of the house, which depends on how many important systems can continue to operate without a centralized power supply. For example, a house may have backup power, which may be enough for lighting the entrance, but not for the elevator. Such nuances are helped by the map.
In addition to being prepared for outages, the service also tells you about the house itself: when it was built, what type it is, what the walls are made of, what kind of heating it has, and whether there is gas. And if you click on the information icon next to a characteristic, you can find out how it affects energy efficiency. For example, why brick walls store heat well, but without insulation they can quickly lose it, or why old "guest houses" usually have problems with thermal insulation.
The map is also linked to the government portal "eOpora", which collects state and regional support programs, including grants and loans for energy modernization. So you can see what support programs are available for your home.
Previously, dev.ua wrote that Ukraine launched the state program "SvitloDim", under which condominium associations, managers and housing cooperatives can receive from 100,000 to 300,000 UAH for backup power supply of apartment buildings
