"I have big news: Conductor is joining Meta. We have crazy plans for a new interface," said Goltz, announcing the release of the new product early next year.
On social media, Goltzadded that he looks forward to working with Meta’s head of AI, Alexander Wang, and Superintelligence Labs (MSL) product manager, Nat Friedman, who he said currently has the highest concentration of talent among AI labs.
Meta confirmed the deal to TechCrunch, but declined to disclose its financial details and terms.
Conductor, a startup founded in 2024, launched its main product only last summer. The platform allows you to create software projects by involving multi-agent AI teams in parallel workspaces (in the cloud, on-premises, or via mobile). This allows engineers to work on different parts of the project in isolation and in parallel. The generated agents will use models from leading labs, including Anthropic and OpenAI.
According to Charlie Goltz, the core functionality of Conductor will remain available as usual until early next year. The exception will be the cloud service - it will be discontinued on November 20, after which users' cloud data will be deleted.
Meta has been actively catching up in the AI market in recent months. In August, the company launched its own coding agent, Muse Code . The new AI app even overtook ChatGPT in terms of downloads at launch.
In addition to Conductor, Meta has made a number of other AI acquisitions over the past year, including the purchase of popular agent platform Moltbook .
