Microsoft has introduced Copilot Agent Functionality Diagnostic, a new tool designed to ensure that Copilot works reliably within Microsoft Teams. It checks for issues that may prevent Copilot agents from working properly, from licenses to client settings.
The tool is available through Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer, Windows Report reports .
As Copilot’s integration into Microsoft 365 grows, ensuring it runs smoothly in Teams has become a top priority for Microsoft. Diagnostics aims to provide IT administrators and support engineers with a quick way to check environments, identify misconfigurations, and reduce disruption for users.
This diagnostic tool performs a series of automatic checks for the following parameters:
correct user authentication in Teams;
users must have an active Microsoft 365 Copilot license;
enabling custom applications in preview mode to support agents;
allowing correct access rights for applications in the Teams client settings;
no gaps in the configuration that could block the operation of Copilot agents.
By checking these important aspects, Microsoft claims that this tool can significantly reduce errors and downtime when deploying or troubleshooting Copilot in Teams.
To run the test, you need an account with global administrator rights. This provides full access to the client's settings.
Microsoft has unveiled two of its own AI models, MAI–Voice-1 and MAI-1-preview. It seems the company is aiming to become an independent player in the AI space.
