The Ministry of Defense has made the "Cyber Hygiene 2.0" course in "Army+" mandatory for all military personnel
In the Army+ application, the Cyber Hygiene 2.0 course has been made mandatory. It must be taken by both active military personnel and those who are being mobilized or joining the army for the first time. In just a few months, almost 150,000 users have already completed the training.
In the Army+ application, the Cyber Hygiene 2.0 course has been made mandatory. It must be taken by both active military personnel and those who are being mobilized or joining the army for the first time. In just a few months, almost 150,000 users have already completed the training.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the updated course was launched at Army+ in January , and has now become part of basic training. The department explains the decision by saying that in 2025, the enemy was making hundreds of cyberattack attempts on military digital systems and devices every week, and the training should increase the digital resilience of units.
The course format has been changed. Previously, the materials were only in text form on a closed platform, now they are video lessons within "Army+", which simplifies access and allows you to take training from a smartphone. The program consists of 14 series and covers practical scenarios: safe use of smartphones and PCs, working with passwords, Wi-Fi and flash drives, rules for interacting with messengers and service systems, recognizing phishing and viruses, as well as an algorithm for actions in the event of a cyber incident. After each module, tests are provided, and at the end, a final exam and certificate. The materials were created in cooperation with the Main Directorate of Communications and Cybersecurity of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
There are 20 courses available in the Training section of "Army+". Among the most popular, in addition to "Cyber Hygiene 2.0", the Ministry of Defense calls "Information Resilience: Cybersecurity", "Unmanned Systems. Basics of UAVs", "Tactical Medicine" and "Basics of Communications on the Battlefield". The functionality is developed and supported by the Center for Scaling Technological Solutions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and in total, about 240 thousand military personnel have already been trained in the Army+ application.
Previously, dev.ua wrote about how the Army+ application launched a new training course that teaches military personnel to monitor the air situation through the GRAPHITE application and respond more quickly to the appearance of enemy drones. The idea of the course is to give units a clear algorithm for observing the sky and warning about threats in real time.
