The international company Ookla has published the results of a study of the quality and speed of home Internet in Ukraine for the first half of 2026. Vodafone emerged as the leader, leaving behind four market competitors.
"Vodafone is the fastest fixed network in Ukraine, Q1-Q2 2026. The Ookla Speedtest Award for the fastest internet is based on Speed Score and provides a measurement of the bandwidth and responsiveness of a fixed network. It combines download and upload speeds with latency indicators to get an overall idea of speed," the Ookla website states .
About the research
The Ookla Speedtest Award for Fastest Network recognizes the fastest fixed and mobile networks typically available to consumers in a given geographic region. It is based on a Speed Score, which comprehensively assesses network throughput and responsiveness. The Speed Score takes into account data from a variety of metrics, including the 10th, 50th, and 90th percentiles of upload and download bandwidth, as well as download latency, to provide an objective picture of network performance.
Analysis of market statistics indicates the scale of the study: in total, 19,660,779 tests were recorded in Q1-2 of 2026, based on a sample of 1,861,353 unique devices/users.
Among individual operators, Kyivstar leads in the number of measurements with 2,611,629 tests, followed by Vodafone Ukraine (1,037,201), Triolan (647,838), Ukrtelecom (615,513) and Lanet (541,025).
