Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov announced reforms in the field of gambling licensing after the liquidation of KRAL.
«We are creating a parametric system: we are shooting at various registers, checking whether the company is on the sanctions lists, whether there are any tax debts. If everything is in order, the license is automatically issued,» the minister noted in an interview with the YouTube channel «Pryama Chervona.»
According to Mikhail Fedorov, the goal of such changes is to automate the licensing process.
«We generally want an electronic system that immediately sends all operators information about blocking mirrors of illegal sites. We will constantly block them. They will simply get tired of creating them,» added the head of the Ministry of Digital Affairs, announcing the creation of a monitoring department for analytics of illegal gambling platforms.
According to Fedorov, such activities of the Ministry of Digital Affairs should increase the amount of budget revenues.
«This is a difficult, very difficult project. But I think we will cope, we will restart this topic, we will bring in 5-10 billion in the budget. There will be trouble, there will be hell, but we are ready for battle,» he is convinced.
As dev.ua previously wrote, in early January, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed bill No. 9256-d, which provides for the liquidation of the Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries (KRAL) and a ban on the participation of the military and military themes in gambling business advertising.
In turn, on February 14, the Cabinet of Ministers transferred to the Ministry of Digital Affairs the functions of ensuring the formation and implementation of state policy in the field of organizing and conducting gambling and lottery activities.
