The previous morning, a box with a computer module for an interactive panel worth over UAH 35,000 was stolen from the premises of one of the village councils in the Lviv district. The equipment was supposed to be delivered to one of the community's educational institutions.
The police examined the surveillance cameras and found the module. They say that the man managed to sell it for 50 UAH at one of the Lviv markets. The equipment has already been returned to the community.
A 51-year-old man was charged under Part 4 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — theft. He faces up to 8 years in prison. According to law enforcement officials, the suspect had previously been held criminally liable for property crimes.
