Buyers can choose from 12 different designs, and the set of framed plates includes a variety of patterns and commemorative inscriptions, Cybernews reports .
The souvenir is made from a 200 mm diameter wafer, which serves as the basis for microcircuits. Depending on the type of product, one such wafer can contain from 30 to 120,000 chips.
The plates are a limited edition. At the time of publication of the material on the website, the plates are no longer for sale. The dimensions of these souvenir plates in the frame are 270×270×15 mm, and the weight is 365 grams.
Semiconductor wafers, which look like thin, ultra-flat discs and are made from materials such as crystalline silicon, are the basis for creating microcircuits. Their diameters range from 100 mm to 450 mm, with 300 mm wafers being the standard for modern high-tech manufacturing.
