German drone company Quantum Systems has raised $1.2 billion in Series D funding, raising its valuation to $8 billion.
As reported on the company’s official website, the funding round was led by Blackstone, Noteus, Airbus, and Advent.
Thus, this round of financing more than doubled the company’s valuation.
Thanks to the raised financing, the German UAV manufacturer reports, the company intends to accelerate the transition from manufacturing «separate unmanned platforms» to implementing «a compatible family of unmanned systems, united through the company’s MOSAIC UXS software ecosystem.»
«In just a few years, Quantum Systems has become a trusted partner in the defense technology space. This funding allows us to scale production, expand globally, and deliver the next generation of autonomous AI-powered systems in the air, land, sea, and connected spaces,» said Sven Kruk, a top manager at Quantum Systems.
Thus, the funds will be used to expand production capacity, strengthen supply chain resilience, scale up supplies to neighboring markets, and invest in software and artificial intelligence capabilities.
The company, among other things, recalled that in Ukraine in 2025, the drones they manufactured performed over 19,000 missions.
