Audio Transcription turns documents into podcast-style conversations. Now, with built-in audio support in Gemini, even more people can use Audio Transcription in their preferred language, from Ukrainian to Korean, from Spanish to Swahili, the company announced in a blog post.
The audio transcript is generated in the language specified in your account settings. This update also adds a new “Output Language” option in NotebookLM settings. Additionally, you can change the language of your audio and chat responses at any time to create multilingual content or training materials in a different language as needed.

Google also provided an example of use in the blog: "A teacher preparing a lesson about the Amazon rainforest can share resources with their students, such as a documentary in Portuguese, a scientific article in Spanish, and study reports in English. Students can download these materials and receive an audio transcript of key ideas in their native language, helping to overcome language barriers and make the information accessible to everyone."
