Note-taking service Notion has announced the launch of its first AI agent. It will use all of a user's pages and databases as context, automatically generating notes and analysis for meetings, competitor analysis reports, and feedback pages.

The company said that the agent can create pages and databases, as well as update them with new data, properties or display methods, writes TechCrunch.
Users can also launch Notion agents from other platforms connected to the service. For example, you can ask a Notion agent to create a dashboard for tracking bugs using various sources, including Slack, email, and Google Drive.
The announced agent is based on Notion AI, an existing feature that could search or summarize content. But the new agent is capable of solving more complex, multi-step tasks using the capabilities of agent-based AI. The company said that the current version of the agent can complete a task that takes up to 20 minutes on hundreds of pages.
Users can customize the agent’s “profile” page to follow guidelines for source citations, design style, and where tasks and deliverables are updated. The agent can also be asked to “remember” key moments when people use it. These “memories” will be stored on the profile page and users can edit them.
Currently, these actions must be triggered manually. However, Notion said that it will soon be possible to create custom agents that run on a schedule or based on specific triggers. The company will also release a library of agent templates where you can choose from pre-made prompts that are suitable for your task.
