Staff shortages and the need to increase productivity are forcing Nova Poshta to invest more actively in automation and robotization of processes.
This was stated by the company’s co-owner Volodymyr Popereshnyuk at the Industrial Evolution forum, Mind writes .
According to Popereshnyuk, the company is systematically reducing the amount of manual labor at terminals and production sites. «It is very important for us to have a minimum number of people at the terminal, at the production site. That is why we are engaged in robotization, we are engaged in economical processes so that a person does not spend a single extra minute on operations that can be optimized,» he explained.
Increasing productivity has become one of the key priorities for business development in the context of war and staff shortages — the company is simultaneously implementing several areas of operational process modernization.
Separately, Popereshnyuk emphasized what the company deliberately does not do: Nova Poshta does not analyze what products its clients produce or sell, focusing exclusively on its own logistics metrics. «We are not interested in what our clients do and what they produce. We are interested in our metrics: the parcel arrived — how many seconds, how many minutes it was with us,» he explained.
According to him, the company doesn’t even have a technical visualization of what exactly customers are sending: «We don’t have on our screens what exactly customers are sending and what they are doing. Customers didn’t give us the right to use this information in this way.»
