New interceptor drone already shoots down jet fighters. Zelensky spoke about the development of the SBU

Ukraine has created a new interceptor drone, which has already been successfully used to counter jet "shaheeds".

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this after a report by the head of the SBU, Oleksandr Poklad.

According to Zelensky, the head of the Security Service of Ukraine reported on the result. He called the development the result of the work of the SBU’s military counterintelligence.

"A new interceptor drone has been created and has already been successfully used," the president said.

Zelensky did not specify which drone model he was referring to, how many such interceptors have already been produced, and how many targets they have destroyed. The post also does not provide technical specifications for the new system.

The President noted that Ukraine continues to develop means of protection against air attacks and scale up the production of necessary weapons.

"Step by step, we are moving to give Ukraine more protection," Zelensky wrote.

He also thanked the developers and manufacturers who are working on scaling such systems.
