This is evidenced by the results of a study by the Internet marketing agency Webpromo, published by Forbes Ukraine. Analysts formed the rating based on statistics from the App Store and Google Play for the first six months of the year.
AI-powered services overtook e-commerce and entertainment apps in terms of the number of products presented. ChatGPT ranked second in terms of downloads, while Google Gemini ranked fourth. In addition, AI tools entered the top categories in terms of revenue from subscriptions and mobile purchases. The list of leaders in terms of revenue included Claude, Grok AI, Kling AI, as well as graphic editors Canva, Lightroom, and Remini.
In the e-commerce segment, international platforms are losing ground: Temu dropped five places (to 7th place), OLX lost 15 places (to 36th place), and AliExpress fell 25 places (to 62nd place). In contrast, Ukrainian Prom (13th place) and Rozetka (15th place) maintain or improve their performance. In the banking sector, the top three remained unchanged — Privat24, monobank, and Oschad.
The strengthening of the positions of Ukrainian marketplaces is associated with the risks of international delivery, currency fluctuations, and consumers' need for warranty service and quick return of goods.
