«Previously, modifying game graphics to respond to game events in real time required access to the source code or engine. Now, the powerful Remix logic system allows modders to dynamically transform visual effects using 900 Remix graphics settings based on game events in over 165 classic games,» Nvidia said about the updated functionality.
The developers explained that previously modders could create snowy weather using Remix’s ray tracing system, but the same weather conditions would apply to every part of every level throughout the mod. Now they can set the weather conditions to only trigger when the player is in an open area, allowing for more targeted modifications.
«Remix Logic is a flexible tool that supports over 30 game events, including the state of the player’s camera, the bounding boxes of the world, the state of any object, the passage of time, and even the keys that the player presses,» Nvidia says.
The platform requires no programming skills and offers a node-based interface, allowing you to associate different triggers with over 900 graphics settings.
The company announced that over 50 new mods were released through Remix in 2025, as well as over 20 community tools via open source and plugins. The developers noted such mods as Unreal RTX and Left 4 Dead 2 RTX, and also reported that mods for Call of Duty: Black Ops RTX (2010) and Clive Barker’s Undying are in development.
