The Fourth Law and Odd Systems launch the first sensor factory in Ukraine, Odd Camera Factory One
The Fourth Law and Odd Systems, owned by Yaroslav Azhnyuk, will launch Odd Camera Factory One, the first enterprise in Ukraine for the mass production of sensors for cameras and thermal imaging systems. The Fourth Law and Odd Systems, owned by Yaroslav Azhnyuk, will launch Odd Camera Factory One, the first enterprise in Ukraine for the mass production of sensors for cameras and thermal imaging systems. This was announced by the Acting Minister of Digital Transformation, Oleksandr Bornyakov, following the event.Autonomy and Sovereignty, where the development of technological autonomy of Ukraine was discussed.
The launch of such production, he said, should reduce the dependence of Ukrainian DefenseTech developments on imported components. Today, most sensors for thermal imagers and cameras are manufactured abroad.
Bornyakov stressed that despite the rapid development of Ukrainian military technologies, the industry is still heavily dependent on imports. «The world is barely keeping up with our innovations, and international partners often do not realize the real speed of DefenseTech development on the front. We create game-changing products, but we are critically dependent on imported components,» he noted.
As an example, Bonyakov cited the market for thermal imaging systems. «Today, every fifth thermal imager in the world ends up on the Ukrainian front. But its „brains“ are foreign-made,» he explained.
The Ministry of Digital Affairs believes that the development of its own production of critical components is one of the key steps towards Ukraine’s technological sovereignty. According to Bonyakov, the role of the state in this process is to create conditions for the development of innovative businesses. «We are building an ecosystem where such production can be quickly launched and scaled without barriers. This will allow Ukraine not only to meet its own needs, but also to become a strong global exporter of technologies,» he said.
Meanwhile, Yaroslav Azhnyuk announced in his LinkedIn post that he is creating a «vertically integrated leader in artificial intelligence and sensors for defense» — from the production of chips and sensors for cameras to cameras, drones, advanced AI, simulation, training of military personnel, as well as a feedback and improvement loop.
According to him, in the coming decades the world will be rearmed, and drones and robots will be the main platforms on the battlefield.
«Technological production is the new oil — a state’s strategic power is no longer determined solely by natural resources. The ability to mass-produce high-tech equipment and software on an industrial scale is the highest form of national wealth and geopolitical influence. Artificial intelligence for the battlefield is the Manhattan Project of the 21st century. Artificial intelligence in defense could cause a shift in capabilities comparable to the invention of the atomic bomb. This is the defining arms race of our time, and we cannot afford to lose this race,» Azhnyuk noted.
«Someday you will be able to proudly answer your children and grandchildren’s questions about what you were doing in 2026.» Yaroslav Azhnyuk announced 100 vacancies in R&D and Ops and 100 vacancies in the production of miltech devices in his projects The Fourth Law and Odd Systems
