The expansion of access to the technology, which became available to paid subscribers last month, was announced on the official OpenAI blog.
Thanks to Intelligent UI, the system automatically selects the optimal response format. Product or technology comparisons are displayed as side-by-side tables, trip details are displayed on annotated maps, and complex calculations or educational topics are displayed in the form of interactive charts and widgets. Users can also ask the chatbot to create a savings calculator or mini-game right in the chat.
To implement this solution, the developers created a library of native components with streaming support and a special compiler. The interface is formed gradually, according to how the model generates a response, eliminating delays.
In addition, the updated GPT-6 began to give the first fragments of the answer while “thinking” about complex tasks, which significantly accelerated interaction in queries that require web search.
“For decades, people have had to learn to use software by navigating fixed interfaces designed to perform specific tasks. We believe the future will be different. Instead of people adapting to software, software will adapt to people,” OpenAI notes.
The company clarified that ChatGPT's weekly audience currently exceeds 1.2 billion users.
