Luckey said that Anduril was the first company to develop the classic kinetic drone-interceptor Anvil back in 2019. At that time, the concept of ramming a drone with another drone was perceived more as a technological gimmick, but today it has become a fundamental element of modern air defense. According to the American developer, it was Ukraine that brought this category of weapons to the industrial level.

The successes of the Ukrainian defense sector are increasingly being noted by US officials. Recently, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, in an interview with Fox News, called the Ukrainian Armed Forces the strongest in Europe, emphasizing that the war forced the Ukrainians to create a unique system of hybrid asymmetric warfare.
According to data provided by Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Mstislav Banyk at a meeting of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, which was previously cited by the Kyiv Post, in 2025, domestic enterprises produced approximately four million UAVs of all types. In 2026, production volumes, which include strike, reconnaissance, maritime drones, and interceptors, are projected at five to six million units.
