The platform tracks environmental victories, scientific discoveries, and conservation achievements. News is presented as short bullet points with special labels: for example, "[+Added] New penguin species discovered" or "[~ Updated] Starlink prepares to launch 27 satellites." Each entry includes a link to the original source, a short excerpt from the publisher, and the date of publication.
“We created changelog.earth to track positive events that are easy to miss in the news. Game update descriptions seemed like an interesting way to tell these stories,” explains project creator Alex.
The resource is focused on publishing three to six news items daily. For the initial selection of materials and formulation of headlines in the update format, the developer uses the Groq model. At the same time, the algorithm has archive protection: unsuccessful requests to the AI do not affect the saved database, and unprocessed generations do not enter the public feed.
The site interface is designed in the style of a live terminal with an animated Earth in ASCII format. The platform also supports subscription via an RSS feed (/feed.xml), which is updated every 15 minutes. The project code is fully open and published on GitHub.
