The launch of the new digital service was announced by Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration, Valentyn Mondryivskyi.
The transfer ticket can be used on the metro, buses, trolleybuses, trams and funicular. Its cost is 60 UAH. After purchase, the ticket is stored in the application for 15 days, and the 90-minute countdown begins immediately after the first scan.
During each transfer, passengers need to re-validate the same QR ticket. When checking, the controller sees the entire validation history within a 90-minute window, so additional payment confirmations are not required. Unlike regular single tickets, a transfer QR ticket cannot be forwarded to another user.
You can purchase a ticket in the «Kyiv Digital» application in the «Purchase QR-ticket» section, selecting the «Urban Transport» category and the «Transfer» type, or through the network of terminals.
«A transfer ticket is a solution that works in many European capitals and is the standard of modern urban transport. We are consistently implementing the best practices of progressive cities in Kyiv to make public transport as convenient as possible for passengers,» said Valentyn Mondriyivskyi.
The introduction of the new ticket does not change the overall fare grid. The system of travel discounts will continue to apply only to recharging the transport card and purchasing monthly passes, while the cost of single and transfer QR tickets remains fixed.
