Polish holding PGZ and Ukrainian partner prepare joint production of ground robots
The Polish defense holding company «Polish Armaments Group» (PGZ) is launching a joint project to produce ground robotic systems (GRS) in partnership with a Ukrainian company.
The Polish defense holding company «Polish Armaments Group» (PGZ) is launching a joint project to produce ground robotic systems (GRS) in partnership with a Ukrainian company.
This was reported by the director of the PGZ international cooperation department, Rafal Garmosa, in a comment to Ukrinform.
According to him, the Polish side is closely monitoring the development of the Ukrainian miltech sector, which provides a technological advantage to the Ukrainian Defense Forces. First of all, we are talking about developments in the field of drones, missile technologies, and electronic warfare (EW).
Negotiations between the parties intensified after the International Ukraine Recovery Conference in Gdansk. In August, PGZ concluded a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with a potential Ukrainian partner, which allowed for the exchange of classified information.
«Such an agreement was signed in August, and now we are moving towards concluding a cooperation agreement. This will allow us to implement a specific, detailed project,» Garmosa noted.
The idea is to organize joint production of equipment according to the principles of Build with Ukraine or Build for Ukraine, that is, in accordance with the immediate needs of the front. At the same time, the PGZ representative emphasized that due to the threat of constant attacks from the Russian Federation, Ukrainian defense industry manufacturers are interested in creating production facilities on the territory of Poland.
This is not the first agreement between the Polish defense giant and Ukrainian developers: in June, TAF Industries signed an agreement with PGZ to localize the production of drones and counter-drone systems in Poland.
