Users are reporting massive problems with the company's websites, services, and mobile apps. The largest number of outages was recorded in St. Petersburg, Altai Krai, Tyumen, and Samara regions. In total, over 740 complaints were recorded per day.
The location of the fire was determined by an OSINT analyst from ASTRA based on eyewitness footage. According to Wikimapia and public statements by the company's employees, the Yandex data center is located on the territory of the Sasta plant.
The Sasta plant is a key enterprise for the Russian defense-industrial complex, as it specializes in the production of CNC metalworking machines. Its equipment provides a production base for the aerospace, transport and heavy industries, in particular, it supplies special machines to Roscosmos enterprises. Due to the fulfillment of defense orders, the company is under sanctions by the EU, the USA, the UK, Canada, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
